Meet Heidi

My passion for being creative was inspired by my favourite teacher whilst growing up in Dorset.

I was always at my happiest in the art room at school. I can remember my teacher telling me about the silver classes she was going to and thinking how amazing it sounded to make your own beautiful pieces of jewellery.

At that age I was a magpie for rings, wearing one on every finger, always on the look out for new pieces to add to my collection.

Both my Dad and Grandad were carpenters, so I learnt from the best how to use my hands to craft beautiful, functional objects. After studying Design Technology and Art at A Level, I went to Bournemouth Arts Institute to complete a Foundation Diploma. My love of creating beautiful 3 dimensional objects took hold and so I specialised in 3D Design before heading to University.

I completed a B.Ed. in Design Technology and went on to teach DT in secondary school for 9 years. It was during this time that I began taking silver classes myself and I have been obsessed ever since!

After having my two children, I made the brave leap into the world of the self-employed. I began teaching silver jewellery classes alongside my own jewellery making and I have been teaching others to make silver jewellery now for over 14 years. I absolutely love passing on my skills and seeing others become hooked too!

I now work and teach from my beautiful Dorset home, in a wonderful converted garden workshop.

I love to combine silver with gold details and use texture to make every piece unique.
